Was  messing around with a quick sketch of one of my favorite monsters...GODZILLA.
Hope the new Godzilla movie is good, as well as The Pacific Rim movie.

Okay its been far too long since I last posted. My mom passed away earlier this year and between that and being busy at work.. i just haven't felt like posting anything lately. But its time to get going again... so here is a new piece that i have been playing around with.  Anyway this is the EWOK piece i was working on. Trying some new stuff out to see how to handle hair. Not totally done with this yet but figured I would post it along with some early sketches I did.
Enjoy! Also make sure to check out sketchslackers this month.. the theme  is zombie superhero!

The Grinch

Here is the Grinch that I did for Sketchslackers this month.  Anyway still seeing where I want to go with this style, but I do like how this piece turned out. I gave myself only a few hours from start to finish to see what I could do. Some of my other artist friends do this as well, just take a few hours and see what they can come up with. I think i will try this for some up coming ideas I have.  Hope you enjoyed this piece and please go check out the other great works over at Sketchslackers blog.
Happy Holidays!

Sketch Slackers Comic #10

Here is my edition of the weekly 10 part comic series we were doing on sketchslackers. I was the last to go so I tried to tie into what some of the other episodes or stories had done. I also wanted to leave the ending a bit vague so if any of the other artists wanted to continue the story.. they could.
This is my first attempt at doing a comic book kinda story. I found it very challenging to channel all my thoughts for the story into one page. I kept changing the story as I worked on it and found certain things worked and some didnt. I have mixed feeling about the piece. However I think its a pretty good first step. You can only get better trying things that challenge you. Well hope you enjoy it.

Chun LI

Here is my new piece for sketchslackers. We were doing a theme for Street Fighter.
This is my quick version of Chun-Li. Wanted to try a new style that I normally dont do. A more simple graphic approach. Anyway it was fun Enjoy!

Transformers Optimus Prime Xmas Ornament

I do alot of different design work from cards to packaging to 3d product. One of the newer 3D products I recently designed is now out at retail. Its an Optimus Prime Light and sound ornament.  When you activate him the eyes light up and he says one of 3 Prime phrases, all of which are voiced by Peter Cullen. You can hang him on your tree or set him on you computer.
Im really happy with how this turned out. I hope all the Transformer fans will enjoy it as well.

Madballs Calendar

The new Madballs calendar is out now! I had the opportunity to do an illustration for the September page that spotlighted Swine Sucker™   It had been a while since i had done any illustration ,so this was a great opportunity to get me  going on illustrating again. Thankfully, I had a little help from a friend of mine on this.. but in the end the final result is all me. So wether you like it or not.. im responsible for the final outcome of the piece.  I had alot of fun doing this piece.. though it was a struggle.. Anyway enjoy! For all you Madball fans.. keep an eye out for this calendar at retail.. it should be out now.
Looking for more madballs info.. head over to Madballs central
A special thanks goes out to Keith Allen who put this project together.
